Late Seating Policy
ATTF performances start promptly at the designated start time.
Late Seating is at the discretion of the house manager so as to not disturb patrons already watching the show.
Latecomers may not be seated in their assigned seats until intermission.
Audience members leaving the seating area during the performance will be allowed to return to their seats at the discretion of the theatre manager so as to limit the disturbance for other patrons.
Children
As ATTF theatre is committed to new and contemporary theatre, ATTF’s productions are intended for adult audiences. Some productions may not be suitable for children. Please inquire at the box office if you have questions about a show’s content, language, or themes.
Regardless of age, all children who attend must have a ticket. Children under the age of 6 will not be admitted. We ask that children attending ATTF sit quietly throughout the entire performance. Please inform the box office if you will be attending with a child so they can assist you in making the best seating selection.
Food and Beverages
No food or beverages are allowed inside Panibharatha Theatre or other performance venues.
Electronic Equipment
Please turn off all pagers, cellular phones, personal organizers, watch alarms, and other sound-emitting devices before the performance so they do not disturb those around you. Cameras and recording equipment are strictly prohibited. Those caught using such devices will be escorted from the theatre and their recordings confiscated.
Tickets
ATTF tickets can be purchased from the ticket counter or by calling the following WhatsApp numbers (add WhatsApp numbers).
Smoking
Smoking is not permitted in the Panibharatha Theater. If smoking will occur on stage as a part of the performance this will be posted in the lobby as well as any use of fog, gunshots or strobe lights.
Nudity and Coarse Language
Nudity is defined as ‘the state of having no clothes on’ according to The Britannica dictionary. ATTF does not produce products with fully nude human bodies. However, there will be some body parts and sections to be exposed in some theatre production. In such cases, the audience will be notified in advance and this notification will be posted in the production description and also in the lobby of the theatre.
ATTF productions staged at the festival may contain coarse language in Sinhala or English. If a play contains such language the audience will be informed through the website of ATTF and the production notes shared.
ATTF Performances
ATTF performances are generally suitable for young adults and adult audiences. Most of the productions showcase at the festival deal with adult themes and therefore may use language that may not be appropriate for children under 16. Please note that if you are accompanied by a child under 16, these productions will not be suitable for them.
