Welcome to the International Conference on Music (ICM) 2026 of the Faculty of Music, organized by the C.de S Kulathilake Archival and Research Unit will be held on 14th December 2026 will provide an opportunity for students in the University of the Visual and Performing Arts and other Universities in Sri Lanka to present their work in a scholarly setting to the faculty and other representatives of the University.
ICM 2026 aims to inspire and encourage students to actively engage in research by providing them with a supportive platform to conduct, present, and discuss their work. To facilitate this, a series of supplementary workshops will be organized to guide participants in research methodology, academic writing, and presentation skills. The event also seeks to strengthen participants’ communication abilities and highlight the value of teamwork in scholarly endeavors.
