Began the musical journey as a toddler during preliminary education in Jaffna. Higher education in Music at Annamalai University & Madras university was under the purview of renowned musicians such as Sri S Govindarajan, Dr S A K Durga, Dr Jayalakshmi, Dr Ramanathan , Smt Suguna Purushothaman & Smt Vasundara Nanjundan. Was further groomed in the Carnatic music field by legendary Sri Rajam Iyer & Smt. Dr Premila Gurumoorthi . Evolved to present style under the guidance and mentorship of his Guru, the legendary, O S Thyagarajan. Currently a leading exponent in the Carnatic Music field in Sri Lanka, characterized by a distinct personage style. Solo Carnatic recitals performed locally and overseas including countries such as India , New Zealand,Singapore,Australia,Switzerland etc. Main vocalist for over 200 Bharatha natya recitals, Dance Dramas and instrumental Arangetrams performed locally & internationally. Carnatic recitals in renowned festivals conducted by eminent institutions such as Kamban Kazhagam , Tamil Sangam,Ilam kalaignar manram,Hindu cultural ministry etc in Sri Lanka. Vocal recitals, interviews & write ups have been broadcasted in popular Television and Radio channels ( Shakthi TV,Rupavahini , SLBC,ITN etc). Participation as a distinct judge for popular television programs. Voicing done for Carnatic & light music albums and television/Radio Jingles.
