Profile:
Kamalinie Samarakoon is attached to the Department of Western Music : at the Faculty of Music as a Senior Lecturer (Grade 11) and she was the former Head of the Department since May 2019 to May 2022.
Her main area of performance is in Piano and she has obtained her Fellowship (FTCL) from Trinity College London and Licentiate (LRSM) from Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music, London and AMusTCL from Trinity College of Music, London
Ms Kamalinie Samarakoon has been a soloist with the Symphony Orchestra of Sri Lanka in 2000 performing the Piano Concerto No 1 by L V Beethoven .
She is also a trained Speech and Language Pathologist holding a Diploma in Speech and Language Pathology from the North Colombo Medical Faculty in affiliation to Great Ormond Street Hospital London.
