Instructions for the Candidates

1. Candidates should have a Google account to fill in the online application.If you do not have a Google account,you are requested to create one before filling in the application.
2. Please adhere to the instructions given in the online application and attach scanned copies of all requested details. You are advised to be ready with PDF versions of the following documents before filling in the online application.

1. 1. Photograph ( size 45mm x 35mm colour with white background from any image format)
   2. Degree certificate and detailed certificate of the first degree
   3. Any other degree certificates ( if applicable)
   4. Certificate and detailed-certificates of postgraduate degrees
   5. Proof documents for creative work (in one PDF document)
   6. Proof documents for research and publications (in one PDF document)
   7. Proof documents for national/international scholarships and awards (in a single PDF Document)
   8. Proof documents for teaching / research / professional experience (in a single PDF Document)
   9. Detailed curriculum vitae (in a single PDF document
3. Candidates who wish to apply for more than one subject should submit separate online applications.
4. A copy of the submitted application will also be automatically sent to the candidate’s email address.
5. Only the candidates from government, departments, corporations and statutory boards should forward a scanned copy of the received application via e mail with the recommendation of the relevant heads of the institution to the email aedivision@vpa.ac.lk on or before 15.09.2021 30.09.2021. This is a compulsory requirement for candidates in this category in order for their application to be accepted and forwarded for further proceedings.
   
6. All candidates [Lecturer (Probationary)/ Lecturer (Unconfirmed)/ Senior Lecturer (Grade II)/ Senior Lecturer (Grade I)] who possess the required qualifications will have to face a practical test to demonstrate their practical knowledge in the relevant subject and to do a teaching demonstration within a given time period by a using multimedia presentation to prove their teaching ability.This is  in addition to the structured interview that will be conducted for final selection.
7. The final interview consists with two sections. Firstly, each candidate will be tested on their communication skills, attitudes and public relations. Secondly, the candidates academic qualifications, research work, publications, creative works, awards, scholarships and required work experiences will be checked.
8. All other instructions, as mentioned in the paper/web advertisements should be followed and incomplete applications will be rejected. The University reserves the right to short list the candidates.
